Glissading down Mt. Ruapehu
This is the tail end of my glissade.  The full extent of the slope isn’t visible in this video but the tracks in the snow are in the first couple seconds.  It was a pretty epic (read: steep and fast) glissade.  I definitely should have borrowed someone’s gloves to wear: my hands were raw from steering. Ellerslie Intl. Flower Show in Christchurch
Yesterday a friend and I went to the Ellerslie International Flower Show in Christchurch on opening day.  The ticket price was quite expensive, so we hoped for a good show. It quickly became apparent however that the show was not what we expected.  The grounds feature quite a few vendors hawking their gardening wares or selling food, and they seemingly outnumber the displays.  Flowers are hardly...

Upcoming adventures
The next two weeks are shaping up to be quite fun-filled down here in New Zealand.  Tomorrow I’m planning on seeing Eric Bibb in concert downtown at Dux de Lux, a swanky vegetarian restaurant and brewery.
